No lectures. No preaching. Just facts.

Go to the Myths and Info page for information about drug and alcohol abuse. How to Help a Friend gives you ideas about how to talk to someone you care about who may have a problem with addiction. And Web Sites for Teens tells you where to go online for information and conversation about teens and drugs.

The Teen Center

The AV Teen Center is located in downtown Boonville behind the Methodist Church. A relaxed place where kids can hang out, listen to music, and be themselves, the AV Teen Center is closed for the summer.

The Teen Center also organizes teen events such as ski trips, camping, hikes, and a San Francisco overnight.

Recent Events

  • Oregon Shakespeare Festival: A group of ten teens and two adult chaperones traveled to Ashland to attend the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. They saw “The Pirates of Penzance,” and “Love’s Labor’s Lost,” both in the Elizabethan Theater, which is a reproduction of the old Globe Theater. Both plays were excellent and the teens really enjoyed them. During the day they toured the artsy town of Ashland. For most of the teens going on this trip was a totally new experience that they wouldn’t get if not for the Teen Center Trip Program and the financial support of the AV Education Foundation and the Tobacco Settlement funding from the county. To see photos of the group in Ashland, visit the Anderson Valley Teen Center on Facebook.

We are looking for a new Teen Center Coordinator. Contact us if you are interested. All teen Center activities are open to junior high and high school aged youth in Anderson Valley.
